While we are living and breathing so is the garden of our life. How to look after this garden is up to the individual. What they want to plant, how they want it to look are others allowed? There are no right answer but every decision changes the garden either for a season or forever.
Flowers:
Everyone loves flowers they smell nice, look beautiful and help the ecosystem but they are basically decoration. In your life these are the things that you do for yourself. A painting that you make just to look at, a shelf you build to store things or a sweater to keep you warm. Flowers are what makes the day to day enjoyable, the little spices of life. While these things are great as filler they aren't what will sustain your life longterm. For that you need to plant..
Fruits/Veggies:
Enjoyable and beautiful in their own sense fruits and vegetables also are what gives sustenance. In your life this is your career or whatever else can help support everything else. During some seasons of your life you may be stuck with things you don't like but you will need this energy to help you push on until you are ready to harvest more fulfilling nutrients. Once you have perfected growing these in your own garden you may be able to sell off or give away extras to help others who are still working on their own green thumb. While we can all envision a perfectly cultivated and landscaped garden it is inevitable that some undesirables will sprout up..
Weeds:
We all know how pesky weeds can be, it seems like once you get rid of one, two sprout up behind you. Weeds are all the things in our life that are holding us back or as the definition implies anything undesirable. Growing flowers, fruits and veggies takes time effort and patience but weeds will always show up unannounced. A leaky faucet, an unexpected bill or getting laid off; some weeds are larger than others but you can't let them overtake the garden you've worked so hard to cultivate. With planning and effort you can contain the weeds but in the end you have to learn how to deal with them, take the extra effort to get dirty and tackle them head on.
Make Your Garden Your Own:
They always say that the grass is greener on the other side but this is because you don't know all the work others are doing to get it that way. Your garden is your life grow it how you see fit. Never feel envious of other gardens or think "oh they must have a green thumb". If you see something you like just ask, most people will be thrilled that you love their garden and be willing to share their knowledge. While the analogy can go much deeper: Animals, trees, mushrooms, cute little gnomes etc. this is just a small taste to get your mind working and help break down your life into something that hopefully can make those weeds seem as easy as well pulling weeds.
